My interesting in photography begins and ends with taking yearbook photographs, I suppose. Candid photographs of my friends and family are what I find most interesting. I suspect they are what most people find most interesting. People are naturally drawn to other people. It’s probably human nature.

It’s hard to take compelling candid photographs. When judging a photograph it is easy to be blinded by your love of the person you have photographed. What you think is a good photo might be boring.

All of that is a round about way of saying this photograph of my daughter is fantastic. Well, if that strand of hair wasn’t in her face. Or does that make the photo? Probably not.
